If I am fortunate enough to be selected to play baseball in college, no matter at what level, I will bring a dedication to TEAM first mentality and work ethic that is college ready. I began playing ice hockey and baseball at age 4 and by the age of 8 had began separating myself from players my own age with my athletic ability. Additionally, I boxed competitively from age 12-14 and now compete in Brazilian Ju Jitsu (BJJ) where I have been training for the past 2 years. The dedication and belief in one's ability it takes to train and compete in BJJ is what I believe separates me from most of my peers in baseball. It has enabled me to use my head while in the heat of battle which ultimately leads to me remaining calm under pressure. These attributes have served me well in baseball whether pitching, at the plate, or in the field. In the classroom I give 100% in all my subjects however I have a documented learning disability in math. That being said, I never give up and put in extra hours to make up for my math shortcomings. My dad always tells me the first area of my report cards he looks at are the teacher comments, and he is always pleased because they usually read "Pleasure to have in class". My goals in college are to be a good teammate on the baseball team, learn as much as I can from my professors in whatever major I choose, and make new friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.
