Ever since I picked up a baseball, I knew I wanted to play this sport for as long as I possibly can, and playing at the collegiate level allows me to keep that dream alive. And I'm well aware that playing college baseball is a once in a lifetime opportunity and I'm prepared to take advantage of the chance.
I lead my team in example and I encourage my teammates and try my best to bring a great presence to the dugout every game. I also strive to be the hardest working person on the field at all times and that goes for off the field as well.
In school I maintain a high GPA while still contributing to school events. I volunteer for every fundraiser and help out with younger classes if they need extra hands.
My goal for college is just to find the right match both education wise and athletic wise. I'm open to pretty much anything and I'm excited to get the chance to make an impact at any program i'll have the opportunity of attending.

- Nicholas Manning is a 2023 C/2B with a 5-7 184 lb. frame from Ballston Lake, NY who attends Mekeel Academy. Manning worked exclusively from his primary spot behind the dish, flashing controlled transfers from a one knee set with developing footwork ultimately posting a 2.15 pop time. He consistently put throws around the bag up to 71 mph. Offensively, the righty started from an even balanced base with a lower handset. He swung with intent to generate line drive contact with further room to refine the barrel control and add on to the power potential. Posted an exit velo of 73 mph. (off the T)

- Physical: 5-foot-7, 184 pounds; Sturdy, full build. 7.77 runner in the 60. Offensively: RHH. Even setup, with feet shoulder width apart; has a pre-pitch bat waggle. Short take back with the hands with a toe-tap for timing. Stays behind the ball while showing a strong lower half. Showed a direct swing path with a two handed finish. More line drives than flyballs and groundballs with a peak exit velocity of 87 MPH via Trackman. feel for the barrel 80% sweet spot rate. Defensively: Starts with a balanced setup; utilizing a traditional primary position while staying in an elevated position. Hands are out in front with a seamless transfer. Short take back from a standard 3/4 arm slot. 2.25-2.34 pop times. C - 67 MPH.

- Nicholas is a C/2B prospect who will graduate in 2023. Behind the dish, Nicholas gains ground when blocking and keeps dirt balls in front of him. He presents a good target to the pitcher and receives with a quiet glove. His exchange is quick and he makes accurate/on-line throws to the 2B bag. Sitting in a more athletic stance can help Nicholas improve his overall catching ability. At 2B, Nicholas shows efficient footwork and covers ground well. He fields the ball out in front of his body and has a clean exchange, making accurate/on-line throws to his target. Nicholas can field ground balls more efficiently by getting into a lower fielding position. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He shows smooth rhythm and works through a level swing, driving the ball to his pull side. Engaging his lower half more can help Nicholas produce more pop off the barrel. Overall, Nicholas is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
