Santino Rosso '19 Recruiting Profile

I am an aggressive middle infielder who is passionate about the game and am always looking to be challenged.  During games, I am always in motion and calling out plays, I believe my quick feet and quick release allow me to cover a lot of ground and help me to execute and turn double plays consistently.  I've been playing the game since the age of 4 and have been involved in intense training and competitive ball since the age of 9.  I've had the honor to travel to Florida, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas and Maryland to play competitively.  I feel these experiences have helped me to grow as a baseball player both on and off the filed.  I've trained to be a switch hitter and now can honestly say I have the same control and fluency on both sides.  Along the way, I sometimes have been overlooked due to my size, as I am a young High School Junior; however, this has pushed me to work even harder and not take anything for granted.  I was nominated 1st Team All Greater Rochester 2018 and 2nd Team All County two years in a row (2017/2018).  I had the honor of being part of an amazing team this school year (2017/2018), which made it to States.  This experience also played an important role in my development, not only as a player but most importantly as a young man.  I believe my baseball IQ, my hard work off season and my passion to continue to work hard for my dream to play at the college level, make me an asset to any baseball team.
