Andrew Vasquez '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Andrew Johnathan Vasquez, I was born and raised in Yonkers New York and have been playing baseball since I was in the first grade. I fell in love with the sport and never stopped playing. My dream ever since I was a little kid was to play in the major leagues. Teammates and coaches say I'm a Leader on and off the field. I want to go to college not just for sports but also to get a good education. Every time I'm on the field I play for my team not for myself. There is a quote I keep in my head, and the quote is ''If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far go together. Whatever my team needs I do for them and my teammates. I'm a different type of player from anyone else because I can handle pressure and difficult challenges. I also play my own game I can take down pitchers with my speed. Another trait coaches have said is that I am extremely coachable. I know how to make adjustments when something is not working. My story is still being written and is nowhere close to ending.
