I am a Junior first baseman at Clyde A. Erwin high school in Asheville, North Carolina. I am 6'5", 215 lbs. I run a consistent 7.1-7.2 60 yard dash and has good acceleration from a base running position. Speed and strength have been the two biggest areas of improvement I have focused on throughout high school and I feel as though I am improving considerably in both areas. I have a solid glove and am a reliable corner infielder from both sides, primary from first base. My bat is my best tool, earning me a starting position by season's end as a sophomore on varisty. I play baseball year round and am striving to accomplish my lifelong goal of playing college baseball in the process.
I am a determined athlete that puts as much effort into my craft as it takes and more. I am looking for not only a baseball program, but a good school to earn an education as well. I am in the top eight percent in my junior class of around 310 with a 4.5 grade point average. I am willing to travel if the school is the right fit, regardless of location, public/private, size, etc. though staying on the east coast would be nice. I would more than likely qualify for both financial aid as well as academic money heading into college.
I am interested in a number of potential majors ranging from business to law to history. Right now I am still finding my interests and where I'd like to take my life after baseball and college. I'd love the opportunity to step into a program and compete for playing time right away, though a season to grow and learn behind a veteran would also be a good opportunity. As long as the chance to play is there, I am not picky about the situation. I want to make an impact on the program I attend and compete at the highest level that I can. I hope that I could be a potential fit for a variety of schools and will find the perfect fit within the next two years.
