Personal Statement

Growing up my older brother and I would spend countless hours in the backyard playing whiffle ball with the neighborhood kids. There was something about the game that made me keep coming back for more. I quickly realized that my passion for the game was just beginning. I soon started playing little league and recognized my talent, drive, and love for the sport would take me far.  I am focused on continued growth and have the willingness to listen, learn and practice so I can become the best baseball player I can be.  I am excited about my future and not afraid of working hard!

Through the years my family and coaches have taught me how important it is to be dedicated to your goals, have a strong work ethic, and always maintain good character. Having these values help me strive to be a good kid, teammate, student, and friend and will continue to lead me in having a bright future. Those words continue to be my values. I am the type of person that makes things happen, I don't want to be someone that wondered what could have happened.  I put a lot of time on the field, but it is also important to put the time in the classroom.  I know that playing baseball at a Division 1 college will not just require top-notch baseball skills, but also high academic success.  I always told myself that I wanted to play in the MLB and I am going to continue to try and reach my goal.

Two years ago my family decided to make the move to North Carolina to allow my brother, sister, and me a chance to have more opportunities for a brighter future. North Carolina has a ton of great in-state colleges as well as some surrounding states. However, I know my parents would be thrilled if I would attend an in-state college since they have always been my biggest supporters on and off the field. I would love the opportunity to find a school that not only has a strong baseball team but academically as well.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
