Hodge Williams '26 Recruiting Profile

Hello,

My name is Christopher "Hodge" Williams and I am class of 2026 at Holly Springs High School. Baseball is a sport I have played pretty much ever since I could walk, and after trying many other sports, nothing felt like the sport of baseball. The perseverance, initiative, and drive to be a part of something bigger than myself I gain from playing baseball is unmatched and it is my desire to continue my baseball career in college. I am passionate about my position as a catcher because I have the unique opportunity to be involved in every single defensive play of the game. I am attuned to the dynamics of a team and what each player has to offer, and I do my best to support my teammates to maximize their success as well as that of our team. I always strive to bring a positive disposition to the field.

I carry my competitiveness, effort, and pride with me off the field, both at school, at home, and in the community. No matter what I am doing I am always going to give it my all. During my freshman year in high school I established myself that I was an A + student, maintaining a 4.3 or above GPA cumulatively in high school. Simultaneously, I demonstrated a solid performance on the field hitting .420+ with hitting 3 2b throughout my time on a competitive varsity squad. I am proudly co-chair of the Unified Club at Holly Springs High, and it is our mission to support our classmates with special needs through social and athletic opportunities both at school and in the community.
