My name is Luke Boshart, and I am a high school junior at Sanderson High School. I play Outfield and pitcher, and I love baseball and the feel of the game. I am dedicated to improving my craft by training hard to achieve success. I dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level and then working my way up to the bigs.
I starting playing baseball at the age of 9, and never looked back. I began playing with the City of Wake Forest, Parks, and Recreation, and then moved to the Raleigh Area and played for Raleigh Parks and Recreation.
I am a right-handed outfielder/pitcher, and I bat right-handed. I currently play outfield and relief pitcher for the Summer Varsity baseball team at Knightdale High School (I am transferring to Sanderson next school year).
I believe that working hard is the key to success. I have found success in baseball, but I have also learned from some challenges that I have experienced in my life. These very challenges have taught me how to keep moving forward when you feel like quitting and to never ever give up. As one of my favorite actors, Sylvester Stallone said in one of the Rocky franchise movies, “It's not about how hard you can hit. It's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward. How much you can take and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done." I love this quote for multiple reasons. First off, when life seems too hard to continue, this is where you really need to dig down and find that extra strength to move forward. Life is always going to throw us curveballs, and when we get knocked down, we must always stand back up. I am very thankful for the support and love of my family members and close friends who push me to work hard and to make them proud. I also very thankful for all of the things that the Lord has given me and for all of the trials that He has helped me overcome. Without him, none of this would be possible. All glory to God.
