Nicholas Jiminian '21 Recruiting Profile

    My Father is the person who inspires me to play the game of Baseball and to be the person I am today. The way he plays and the impacts he made in his time like playing for the Pittsburgh Pirates. The reason why my father inspires me is because of his stories about playing in high school, college and later playing professional baseball. It motivates me to do the same thing he did when he was my age. My father was invited to an event hosted by the Pittsburgh Pirates Organization where he would play in front of professional coaches. Many of the coaches liked the way he played and so he ended up playing for the Pirates. when I go to my grandparents house, I always go into his old bedroom and stare at all the pictures, trophies and medals he won. Everytime I see them I would get that feeling where I would want them in my room with my name on them. 

    I learned how to physically control my body when I play. My mentality is having the mindset to bare down or "Lock in" the game. emotionally, I tend to take losing games as a lesson and focus on bouncing back in the next games. The goal is to improve my talents and skills to develop more opportunities to make a great impact for myself and most importantly, my family. In late 2018 I tore my Patellar Ligament. It was a rough time for me because it stopped me from showing my skills and talents to coaches and schools. Missing the spring 2019 season had me questioning myself about my future. I find myself very dedicated and motivated to this sport and I most importantly strive to be the best person I possibly can be.
