Joseph Kelly '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Joseph Kelly. I am a sophomore (2021) C/IF at Neuse Charter School in Smithfield, NC. My current GPA is 4.34. Because I skipped 2nd and third grade, I will graduate from high school at age 16 and 9 months.

My current showcase team is Gametime Prospects 16U Harrell.  

I had a good summer with Gametime as well as some good opportunities at camps. I have greatly improved over the summer with the high level of competition.

I have a strong baseball IQ as well as being a consistent contact hitter with the ability to hit for power in the gaps. I am best behind the plate with the ability to call games effectively and control the game from behind the plate. I am able to develop good relationships with pitchers on my teams and whenever they are asked to choose who they want to throw to, I am the choice. That has made me want to get even better so that that continues at the college level.

Now having played at colleges and in front of college coaches, my desire to play college baseball is solidified. I hope I can bring something to your program.
