Cameron Braxton '21 Recruiting Profile

Currently, as I am entering my freshman year of high school, I am 5'5" at 155 lbs from Vanceboro, NC. I do not let my current smallness hold me back. I have a very strong arm for my age. I have played baseball for about 9 years and have been competitive for about 5 years. I have been on the All-Star teams in our area for the past 4 years.

I am known to be a great team leader and advocate for my teammates. I am always one of the first there and last to leave and always give my best. Whether it is on or off the field. I have always wanted to play baseball in college and if given the opportunity I will be the first in my immediate family.

I am looking for a small to midsize university to stay true to my roots. Given the opportunities I am willing to expand. Financial needs will also have to play a role in my decision process. I have not yet narrowed down my desired major as I am looking into some type of engineering or criminal justice field. I enjoy working with kids and I am also looking into sports medicine or something around kids.

Ideally, I am looking for an institute to help expand and strengthen my skills in the classroom and the diamond. I have looked forward to being able and given the opportunity to play college ball for quite some time. Together, hopefully we can commit, succeed and lead in the classroom and the field.
