Ryan Trenholm '21 Recruiting Profile

I will not be the flashy guy at a showcase. I may not stand out with insane numbers. I'm not going to shout out about my abilities. I shine however, when the game begins. I am cool under pressure. I find any way I can to get the job done. I am a worker and an intelligent baseball player.

Put me in the game and I will get on base, get the RBI, steal a base, make the important catch, and throw out the runner at home from centre field when the game is on the line. I will be a leader on the field and in the dugout. I know how to win and I bring out the best in those around me. I may not be flashy but I am someone that you can always rely on.

I have been given some great opportunities because of baseball. I represented Canada on a team that played in Cuba and brought them baseball equipment. We also got to visit some schools and bring them much needed supplies. Even more special, I volunteer weekly with Challenger Baseball, a league that holds practices and games for special needs individuals. My Challenger Buddy and I have developed a great friendship. He has taught me so much and I have learned to live for every moment. I have been very fortunate so far in my life. I enjoy giving back to the sport that has given me so many opportunities.
