Joey Kristbaum '27 Recruiting Profile

Baseball is a gift and a privilege.  My parents have always instilled in me the fact that in order to be truly great at something you must first be a well rounded and great human; and so I work extremely hard mentally, physically, and spiritually in all aspects of my life so that I can become a great baseball player and take full advantage of the opportunities gifted to me.  My name is Joey Kristbaum, Sophmore at Centerville High School (OH).  I pride myself on having an extremely high baseball IQ, both defensively and offensively.  I am a smart hitter who hits gap-to-gap for contact and easy power.  I run the bases extremely well, taking extra bases is a strong suit and always a thought in my mind.  I am very athletic in centerfield and I typically position myself in the right place to make the catch or keep runners from advancing with an above average arm.  But baseball is not my only passion, I also play football as a starting wide receiver and kicker for a very competitive Centerville football program.  

When I’m off the field, I’m on the field coaching a 10U travel team or helping with baseball and football summer camps, inspiring the classes behind me to love the game the way I do.  I also enjoy hunting, fishing, golfing, and water skiing.  Academically, I have all the tools it takes to be a successful college student athlete.  Academics are priority number one.  Baseball has given me so much already, and I know it will always be a huge, humbling part of my life.
