Ever since I was three years old and began learning about sports, my life has revolved around them. Every weekend when I would have free time, I would watch whatever was on ESPN. Then I started to play sports and the first time I realized I could go somewhere was the year I played on my 9-10 Little League all-star team that went to the state championships. This was one of the best experiences of my life and I first began to think about playing college baseball. As the years went on I learned more and more about what had to be done and the preparations to play college baseball. That is why I began taking hitting and pitching lessons to prepare me for the next level. I put in hours of work during the winter months and continue training on off times I have in the spring and summer.
Being the oldest in my family brings a lot of responsibility and leadership. I am an example of what to be to my little brothers. On the field I am the same way. My leadership is reflected in how I communicate with my teammates. I'm the first one to be yelling out bunt coverage execution, where the next play is, or the number of outs. It is important to me to show support in cheering our pitchers to go up there and dominate. In the dugout and on the bases you can also always hear my voice calling out to the hitting to put a nice hit ball out there. Wherever I am on the baseball field, you can hear my voice.
As a student athlete, the first responsibility is to get the job done in the classroom. My parents have always told me to do my absolute best in the classroom. If I get behind or don't know what to do, I always ask questions to get me on the right track. When the teacher asks a questions, you usually hear my name called and my voice answering. My dedication to my academic success is reflected on my report cards every nine weeks.
