If it is to be it is up to me!

I’ve been playing baseball for as long as I can remember at the local level in Barrie, Ontario Canada.  3 years ago, I had the opportunity to play elite baseball for the Ontario Blue Jays organization.  This was a significant jump in baseball caliber, from local small town baseball to the equivalent of All State.  This experience has changed me on so many levels; as the team carries many great players (+28 rostered players) and playing time is not guaranteed.  From this experience, I learned that If it is to be it is up to me, I could not expect the coaches to get me ready and to be competitive at this level as they had plenty of talent to choose from, I needed to do it myself.

I needed help!  I went out and found myself some various coaches to supplement the curriculum from the baseball program which includes a personal trainer, hitting coach, fielding coach and an Olympic sprinting medalist to help with my speed.  

My goals are to play college baseball and have an opportunity to continuously develop to one day play pro ball.  To do so, I felt it was important for me to maximize my playing time, which would allow me to work through possible slumps and to gain the coaches confidence in me at bat and in the field.

I have gone from having high expectations on a coaching staff to understanding that if it is to be it is up to me.  I am looking for a very structured and disciplined baseball program as I excel in that type of environment.  I have a strong work ethic both academically and on the field, which will help me be an asset to your baseball program.
