Aren Eisses '23 Recruiting Profile

For the last couple of years navigating covid has been a challenge. However, it has made me realize how much I love playing and participating in sports. I have gotten involved in many of our school sports including badminton, and track. I was the top runner for my school in Cross Country for the past two years and of course the captain of the volleyball team. I work hard to find a good balance between school and sports to ensure I can perform well and keep my academics where they need to be. This was often difficult when participating in a minimum of 10 practices a week for 3 different teams.

When I entered high school, I started playing on a club volleyball team. From this point forward I have made every effort to immerse myself in the world of volleyball whenever possible. I have spent multiple seasons coaching some younger teams in my area. When the indoor volleyball season was not running, I entered beach volleyball leagues and attended volleyball camp, where I was assisted by world-class coaches and players throughout the week. 

I believe that these experiences have taught me the value of teamwork and commitment to the sport required to play at the next level. As a three-time captain of my club team, I have been a clear leader on and off the court. As skill is undeniably essential to bring to a team. I believe that being coachable and always having a good attitude are just as important. I believe that I have what it takes to not only play on the team but make an impact on the whole program for the better.
