Josh Talerico '16 Recruiting Profile

My name is Josh Talerico from Tecumseh Ontario.  I am currently a Senior at Tecumseh Vista Academy where I play both Baseball and Hockey, however, my passion has always been baseball. I have been playing baseball since I was 5 years old and have enjoyed every practice and game.  My primary position at my high school is 3rd base and my secondary is catcher and pitcher.  I also play 3rd base for the Windsor Selects 18U AAAA.  This past year, we won 2 US tournaments and came in 4th in Cincinnati which approximately 86 teams competed. This year I was fortunate to make Team Ontario (3rd base) and represented my province in the Canada Cup where we won a bronze medal.

My goal is to play baseball at the University/Collegiate level and pursue a Psychology degree. I understand the hard work that is involved with trying to obtain this goal and I feel that with my strong work ethic, dedication and leadership skills will not only help me through University/College but in the future as well.  Some of my time through the seasons have been volunteering at various baseball/hockey camps teaching younger kids the fundamentals and good sportsmanship.   

Family is important to me and I am privileged to have parents (and a younger brother) who have supported me with my goals.
