I was influenced in my life by watching MLB and a couple years ago I was influenced by Felix Hernandez, a pitcher for the Seattle Mariners. I have been playing baseball since I was 4-years old, starting with T-Ball. I really became interested in baseball when I started playing in Double-A when I was around 7 years old. I learned, about myself, that I'm good at baseball but I have areas I could get better in.
My academic goals in high school are to maintain good grades, figure out majors/minors for college, plan for college, find scholarships, and participate in extracurricular activity. And for college, my goals are to complete an internship or find a good job, start creating multiple resumes, learn to budget, develop a social network, consider studying abroad, and get into the school spirit. One obstacle I have had to overcome in my life through baseball is almost throwing out my elbow while pitching side-arm when I was younger. One skill I have is I am used to playing everywhere on the field.
