My goal is to be a Premier Athlete, get a good College Education and to Succeed in Life.
I currently run 6.5 in the 60 yard dash and when I assist in pitching I can throw 84 mph.
Baseball is by far my favorite sport, but I also play basketball and also excel in track. I had the opportunity, two years in a row (2010 and 2011) to be part of the Penn Relays. The Penn Relays is a part of Philadelphia sports tradition for 117 years. In Middle School, I broke five records in track. I ran a 75 meter in 8.9 seconds, my 200-meter time was 24.1, my 400 time was 53.9, my 4x1 team ran a 47.1 in eighth grade, and my final record, was jumping 19 feet in long jump.
I had the opportunity to go to Cooperstown in 2008 and 2009. In 2009, I was selected by my team to run in the Road Runner skills competition. I ran the bases in 12:69 and came in second place out of 104 kids who also participated in the same competition.
My dream is to go to the University of North Carolina. In August 2011, I made the final selections for TEAM NORTH ATLANTIC 15U and I got to travel to Cary, NC to tryout for USA Baseball’s 2012 16 year old team. While in Cary, NC, I had the opportunity to tour UNC. I was so excited that I was able to walk on the Tar Heel Baseball field and hang out in the dugout. We were also able to go to a Tar Heel Football game while touring the campus.
My principal in Middle School, Dr. Tom Rudder wrote a letter to my parents letting them know that while in eighth grade, I received nominations for the Faculty Merit award and the American Legion school citizen award. Even though I did not receive these awards, it was still an honor that I was considered. It also meant a lot that my principal thought of me enough to write to my parents.
I plan to get good grades in school, making good decisions and to continue to play competitive baseball.
