When I was 6 years old my mom would take me to the local YMCA for swimming lessons. If we arrived at the YMCA early we would watch the girls that were playing volleyball. One day while we were watching the girls play my mom asked me if I wanted to play volleyball some day and I shook my head yes while I kept watching the game. I don’t remember that this happened but my mom assures me that it did. She signed me up for the YMCA’s volleyball league when I was in the 5th grade and have never stopped playing!
My goal is to play volleyball at the college level at a school where I can major in Early Education. I would love to play at a school that challenges me both in academics and athletics. I play Libero/DS for my club team Pinnacle Volleyball Academy. During the 2020 club season I received the MVP award. I played Libero/DS for my high school JV team in 2019 and 2020 and DS for the varsity team this past season. I love playing libero and having a bigger responsibility in the back row. Off the court I can be a shy person but I definitely come alive on the volleyball court. My favorite part of playing volleyball is being part of a team and all working together. Win or lose I love to play the game and would love to continue to play after high school.
