My personal goals for college are to continue my education and have the opportunity to play the sport that I love, while making an impact for my team. Although I would love to attend a college with a highly reputable name, I ultimately want the opportunity to play baseball and prove myself as an asset to the baseball program of the college that I attend. I am a team player and I feel that I have the ability to help my team be a success.
I am fast on my feet (currently 6.75 - 60 yard), very knowledgeable of the game, coachable, great contact hitter, with an eye for balls and strikes and proud of my OBP with 0 strike outs during the 2017 season. I am a switch hitter, although right now I have more confidence on my right side, so that’s where I have been hitting from. Although I have played many positions throughout my life and consider myself a utility player, I have played short stop and outfield mainly. I track the baseball really well in the outfield and have no problem running down fly balls. After my first year of freshman/B-team (7th grade), I was quickly brought up to JV to play outfield as a starter in 8th grade. During my 2nd year of JV (9th grade), I was moved to shortstop and had a pretty good season (see stats page). I am skilled at and enjoy playing either position and ultimately want to be in the position where I am needed most by my team. I continued to start at shortstop during the 2017 season.
I also consider myself a pretty good pitcher and have started and/or relieved in several games. I have good velocity, locate my pitches really well and had an early start with developing my mechanics when I was younger. Although I really would like a spot in the lineup as an everyday player, pitching is something that I am also confident in as another option to help my team.
Thank you for taking time to learn a little about me. I hope that you will preview my profile, follow me throughout high school and consider me to be a part of your program. I would love to hear from you, if you are interested and will be glad to answer any questions that you might have.
