Torin McCann-Braun '23 Recruiting Profile

For as long as I remember, confronting challenges has been my forte. But discovering that I could do it on a team made it a whole lot better. My goal as an athlete is to be the best version of myself and to help those around me succeed. My Junior and Sophomore years, I was named co-captain for varsity baseball despite the seasons being shortened due to COVID. I learned a lot about leadership and leading by example while battling to find inspiration to fuel my love for the game. I found that putting in work and really staying committed to the sport is very rewarding, and doing it with your teammates can build both individual character and collective memories that are truly special. I love to joke around and have plenty of fun, but when it comes down to it, I am willing to do what is needed to be done, whether it's on or off the field. Being this type of leader is what I feel can propel me to the next level, along with skill, motivation, and a love for competition. As a re-elected captain now as a senior, newly named to the All-Conference Team from my junior season as an Infielder, I aim to move my skills to the next level and continue to work and achieve my goal to play college baseball.
