Wilk Eckert '20 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has always been a big part of my life. Ever since I was about two years old when I could barely even hold a bat, I'd always had a passion for baseball. Over the years, I have played with many different teams in many different leagues and because I have done this, I have become accustomed to any changing environment. Having had these experiences, I believe I could help any team in striving for success.

I started playing select (travel) ball when I was 8 years old, while also continuing to play in the local leagues. I have always been a competitive  person, always wanting the best out of me and all of my teammates around me. Any way I could help the team win, no matter what it would be, I would try my best to do.   

In my family, academics has always come first ever since my years in kindergarten. I have maintained high grades all through my years of schooling. Even when I entered high school, nothing changed as I have maintained a 4.0+ GPA. School is very important and the work put in during these years will surely help me down the road.

I hold many qualities that I could bring to any team, I am very cooperative and get along with my teammates well. I am adaptable to change and I carry a positive attitude on and off the field .  Anything that I can do to help my team get better as a whole is something that I will try my best at.

I am looking for a school that allows me to have an opportunity to receive a great education and help me make my dream of playing baseball at the collegiate level a reality.
