My name is Drake Ayala.
I was born in Hurst -Euless -Bedford, Texas and raised in the Fort Worth and Denton, Texas area. I was a student athlete and attended Braswell High School, in the Denton ISD whereby I recently graduated last month.
At the age of 4, I started playing the sport I love – baseball! I tried my hand at Soccer, but, it just wasn’t for me. It was all about baseball! I have played continually, every season, since I was 4. I began playing Select ball when I was 9 and have been on numerous AAA and Major level teams as well as playing and representing my high school, community, family to the best of my abilities.
During the off season, I concentrated on continuing with the training Coach Donnie Watson. He taught us how to train using the dynamic warm-up, weight lifting, and and various baseball drills. I concentrated on working out to do what I could to get faster, stronger. I focus on having balanced meals.
In my pastime, I love to meet my friends and play pick-up games of basketball, work out and work on my car. In college, I want would like to earn a degree in Engineering and/or Business with hopes of one day working on a career in automobiles. However, first and foremost, I want to be a professional baseball player!
During the school year, I worked hard on my grades to make sure I do what I can to continue to play baseball for a good college in hopes of earning a scholarship. I’ve volunteered on several occasion for my schools in our training camps and helping coaches teach the young kids baseball drills. Last summer I took training sessions to learn how to be an umpire.
On the field, I am a versatile, all-around player and focus on being a positive influence to the team. I was a starter on the Varsity team all my years in high school and on the various select teams i played on. As I grow both physically and mentally, I strive to be an asset to the team, coaches and school. I adapt easily and can play wherever I am needed, I don't ever complain and believe in making the best of any situation. I can play both infield and outfield. As a Junior, i was the teams starting Second baseman , where I was selected to the Second All District Team for Second Base, and as a Senior i was placed full time as the teams Center Fielder where I was selected 1st team all district center fielder. In the line-up, Coach Donnie Watson used me either lead off or second in the batting order. Throughout the years, I’ve also pitched for some teams. However, it has been a while. I conduct myself with honor and respect on and off the field to ensure I represent myself, my team, my coaches, parents, and the school I attend in a positive way.
Thank you for taking a moment of your valuable time to read my profile. I truly appreciate it! And hope to hear back from you and talk about baseball! And college.
Sincerely,
Drake Ayala
