Official Scouting Report 5 CLASS RATING SS/OF POSITION PROJECTION 10/31/2021 - All-In Membership - El Paso, TX Omar is a SS/OF prospect who will graduate in 2022. Medium frame athletic build with strength present. At SS, showed efficient feet and good range laterally. Works around baseball, with good direction towards target, and ability to pick out hops. Long arm action, with a high 3/4 arm slot, and an arm velocity up to 85mph. Made accurate and on-line throws with a quick release. In the OF, starts with active/efficient feet and ability to cover ground in all directions. Fields from an athletic/low fielding position with a clean gather off his left foot. He works behind/through fly balls with a high 1-hand catch. He keeps his feet active with good momentum to target. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and open stance. Takes an aggressive swing, with quickness to hands, and late bat whip. Shows explosive bat speed through hitting zone. Hit line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 82mph. With another year of development, we foresee Omar having a bright future on the baseball field.
