Derek Galvan '22 Recruiting Profile

Hi, my name is Derek Galvan. I am currently 18 years old and I am a Senior at Ysleta High School in El Paso, TX. I would describe my goals for college to be that I want to be accepted into a great school that can provide both my academics and my baseball. I am interested in studying architecture.  What makes me a good candidate for your team is that I am very willing to work with new people. I am willing to take criticism or suggestions. I strive to be the best baseball player and athlete that I can be and I am constantly working to improve. What makes me different from other recruits is that I am a very good and committed student.  Much like my athletics, I strive to be the best student that I can be. My character is based upon my religious beliefs and my upbringing. I was raised and taught to be an honest, compassionate, and enjoyable person and that is what I practice in my daily life.
