The goals and aspirations I have are built around three factors: my faith, my family, and my love for baseball. Family and faith have both been integral in my achievements in school, as well as, sports. Without the support of my family, I would not have been exposed to so many opportunities that allowed me to see that anything is possible if you put in the work and have faith that all things are achievable. My goals for college are to develop a greater understanding of engineered materials. I have always been skilled with my hands and construction whether it be in metal, wood, or leather. I plan to complete my engineering degree so that I may start my own business like my uncles and my father.
Throughout high school, I have had the ability to maintain friends across many social groups. I believe my character is genuine and trustworthy. In any situation, I will do my part no matter what it takes. Academics have always been easier for me compared to my athletic goals, but that is only because I was taught from an early age to never put something off that can be done today. Athletically, I have always loved the sport of baseball and have focused on it more than any other. However due to finances and rural living, I never had the opportunity to really get enough experience and play baseball. It was only as a sophomore in high school that I was given the opportunity to pitch. From that point on, my passion for throwing began.
I have grown as a pitcher in the partial season of 2020 and with my travel on a select team in the summer of 2020. The dedicated weight lifting program I used in off season has helped me with strength and control.
