Baseball has always been a part of my life. While other kids were playing with cars and toys, I had a glove and bat in my hands. Years of training have helped me grow from a little boy playing tee-ball to the competitive player I am today.
Playing baseball is more than something I just do on the weekends. It is something that I live and breathe. Everything I do and every decision I make is to help me get closer to my goal of playing baseball at the next level. My passion for baseball comes from the fact that it is a competitive and smart sport. I love that baseball is a mind game just as much as it is a physical game.
Not only am I competitive on the field, but I am also competitive in the classroom. I will be going into my sophomore year of H.S. ranked number 2 in my class. I plan to use my academic strengths as a way to achieve my goal of playing collegiate baseball.
I have spent years playing and training off-season. During the summers I travel to train an hour away 3 times a week. To me, it is important to work hard even when no one is watching. Being a leader and setting a good example is what I want to do. Most importantly I consider myself to be a coachable athlete. I love the challenge of growing as a baseball player and learning from what my coaches have to offer.
My longterm goal is to play baseball at the highest level possible. I want to continue to grow and develop into the best player I can be. I look forward to finding a university or college that is the right fit to help me do that, as well as pursue a degree in the field of engineering.
