James Swan '13 Recruiting Profile

My Name is James Swan, I'm a 6'5 1/2, 180 lb. Junior at Little Cypress-Mauriceville. Leadership is one of my biggest virtues. I'm a leader for our school team, and prefer to lead by example. The things I can offer as a player and or Pitcher; is a want to win as much as I want to breathe, hard work, and a 100% dedication to any organization I'm apart of. As a Sophmore at a 4-A High School in Texas, I hit 4 hole the entire year. I hit second best on the team behind a senior who batted 3 hole. On the mound I was the only one of our pitchers to not have a loss. I played well enough to be named New-Comer of the Year for our District, a rather big award. One of the biggest accomplishments I have achieved as a baseball player, was throwing a 7 inning no-hitter against the Arlington A's this past summer. The Arlington A's being one of the best Select programs in the State, caused me to become ecstatic after the win.

My dream is to play baseball at the University of Texas at Austin. I've grown up the most devoted fan for that college on more ways than one than just baseball! The history present at the University of Texas goes far beyond the Gridiron or the Diamond. It also offers one of the best Public College Educations available in the Country, which is a huge plus with me. I'm also quite interested in Stanford University. The education supercedes almost any College in the country and that is a great draw to me. My desired Major happens to be a Bachelor's degree in Biology, and then go on to take Pre-Med and become an Orthopedic Surgeon. 

My frame and live arm I believe qualify me for good D-1 colleges. With a 6'5 1/2 frame and a fastball ranging from 85-90 going downhill with tail, I feel that I can help some of the better D-1 colleges in the country get wins.
