My name is Jacob McLaughlin. I am currently a Senior and will graduate in 2021. I have been playing baseball for as long as I can remember and I am interested in a college or university that can challenge me academically, while still providing me with the opportunity to continue playing baseball.
Playing baseball has forced me to balance school and sports. Achieving this balance has been difficult but has provided me the ability to manage competing priorities and be successful at both.
I have narrowed my degree choices to Biomedical Engineering or Computer Information Systems. My immediate goal is to begin pursuit of my bachelor’s degree, and if I am fortunate enough, to play college baseball while doing so. I understand this will require an enormous amount of mental and physical commitment. I feel I am prepared to meet the challenge and I am prepared to put in the work necessary to be successful in both endeavors.
