Nick Mead '12 Recruiting Profile

My name is Nick Mead and I'm a 6' 5'' 215 lb RHP from Round Rock, Texas. I go to Stony Point High School where I play for Coach Tom Collins. My club team is Austin Slam Baseball and I play for coaches Scott Shepperd and Clint Mokry. I've been playing baseball my entire life and have pitched since i was 8 years old. I'm one of the hardest workers you will ever meet whose never afraid of a challenge. I'm also one of the most competetive people you will ever meet and I absolutely HATE loosing! The "team" aspect is something I've always believed in. I enjoy supporting my teamates and being real vocal in the dugout trying to do whatever I can to help. There's nothing more I want then to have the opportunity to continue playing the sport I love in college. Doesn't matter where, I just want to continue to improve and compete. I would love to attend a bigger to medium sized school with good academics but any opportunity that presents itself would definitly interest me. I don't want to be guarenteed playing time because that's something I feel is earned in practices and workouts and that's something that pushes me to excell in practices and workouts.
