Gabriel Moore '19 Recruiting Profile

I started playing baseball at the age of nine. My first team to play on was a select travel team from Stephenville, Texas. My love for baseball grew from there and I have played ever since. When I was 12, I joined the Texas Edge and played under two different coaches through 14U. The summer of 2017, I joined Texas Clutch, a local travel team coached by P.J. Burns , a former collegiate level player. The Clutch played in several showcase tournaments that summer. In the fall of 2017, I joined Texas Stix South. I played on the 18U team. We played in several showcase tournaments in the fall. During the years of playing select ball, I have played every position except catcher. Currently, I am a starter on the Stephenville High School varsity team starting at first base. On my select team, Texas Stix South, I play third base, first base, outfield, and pitch.

In all my years of playing baseball, I have always given 100% in all I do, on and off the field. I feel that being a leader on a team is a characteristic all players should have. I am that leader. I have always had the ability to be the "spark" that the team needs to pull together and get things done. 

Academics is a very important part of my life. I have always worked hard to keep the 4.0 GPA that I have. I have been on the honor roll every year of school. I recently was inducted into the National Honor Society. 

I believe that God has given me a talent. I plan to fully pursue a career in baseball and use the platform I am given to be a proven leader and a servant for Christ while playing the sport I love.
