I am a Senior at Texas City High School, graduating in June of 2020. I recently wrapped up the Fall Season playing Club/Travel Baseball with the 18U PBA Stars out of Dickinson, coached by Darrin Forse and Chad Rogers. My primary position is RH Pitcher (side-arm) with my secondary positions being outfield, 2nd base and DH. Baseball has been my life since I was 5 years old. The game of baseball has given me the opportunity to bond close with my dad who coached me for 9 years through Junior League.
I have been considering my college options both from an academic and athletic program standpoint. While a good academic program very important, I am also seeking my Faith and the structure of a solid baseball program to help me with my transition into college and as a independent young man. The motto, “Doing my best and letting GOD do the rest” has led me to this critical point in my life. I am wanting to continue living by this belief as I pursue a career degree and continue my passion for baseball at the next level.
I am seeking a University/College with both good academic and athletic programs. I know a solid baseball program will not just challenge and further enhance my physical and mental performance but will also provide me with a team environment that is the structured and supportive as we battle both on and off the field. Most importantly, I am seeking a University that will provide me the academic environment that will prepare me for a successful career. I am confident that I would represent the both the student body and baseball program well, as a student, athlete and man. I am a dedicated and responsible individual with good work ethics who strives to compete and shows courage during challenging times.
Playing baseball at the next level is more than just continuing my passion, it is a way to show my appreciation and give back to my parents and family for all their support and sacrifices. Baseball is a platform me to provide them the opportunity to see the results of their efforts as I take over from here, as young man. I want to give them the satisfaction of witnessing my efforts as I put in the necessary hard work and sacrifices to play college baseball, while pursuing a higher education in an environment similar to our home.
It is my goal both during and after college to be the best man that I can possibly be. I want to prove my worth both in the classroom and on the field. I want to eventually have a successful career and raise a family with the right morals and values. But most of all, I want to have the ability to give back, just as others did for me with the hope that this cycle will repeat itself with my children.
