My name is Colten Grier and I am a part of the class of 2024 at Van High School located in Van, Texas. I am interested in going to College Because of the academic opportunities and the baseball program it offers. I would like to receive my degree in Education. I would like Learn about a lot more about the sport of baseball, so I can teach young athletes the wonderful sport.
I am currently a Junior and my GPA is a 3.9 I am taking all honors classes and I am working and will continue working hard to stay at the top of my class until I graduate. Other than focusing on classes, I spend my free time playing football, baseball, and volunteering at my local fire department. I mainly focus my time on baseball because it is my passion and I want to continue playing the sport into my college years.
I first realized the game of baseball was my passion when I started out playing tee ball. I have played ever since, and with each practice and game, I work hard to better my skills. Every day I run drills in order to improve my technique. I played on travel teams and played in the World Series. I have also played in All American games. I currently play on the varsity team at Van High school in Van TX. My positions are RHP ,1st base and 3rd base. My batting average is 335 and my average pitching speed is 80 MPH. I was recently my district New Comer of The Year. Baseball is a sport I love and something I have dedicated so many years of hard work to, so I would love the opportunity to continue my passion of playing the game at College.
Please contact me with any information regarding showcases and camps that you are hosting.
Sincerely,
Colten Grier
