My goal for several years has been to play D1 baseball. I think what separates me from many players is my ability to add to a winning positive culture. I always try to lead by example by working extremely hard and by always encouraging my teammates.
I also think what separates me is my commitment to constantly improve as a player, teammate, and student. I set clear measurable goals and post them on my bathroom mirror and phone screen saver. What helps me achieve my goals is hitting the gym everyday, working on my baseball fundamentals, and studying hard.
Finally, I can overcome the hardships that always come with baseball. For example, this past summer I broke my arm in July making a diving catch. I was out for 6 weeks and missed several tournaments, camps and an invite only event. I chose not to get discouraged and sit around. So, I committed to getting my legs and core much stronger. I hit the weight room every day focusing on my legs and core and added 10 pounds of muscle. I found a way to get better despite being hurt.
