Gage Bruce '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing baseball since I could swing a bat. As soon as I started playing, I fell in love with the game. Since then I have been working hard and always striving to achieve my goals. My dream since I was young is to compete at the D1 level in college while challenging myself academically. I have been the lead-off hitter on all of my teams, using my speed as a weapon. My best 60yrd time is a 6.59 and I am a big threat on the bases. I am a gap to gap hitter (exit velocity off the tee of 87mph) who is always able to take the extra bases. Defensively, I am a center fielder who is able to cover a lot of ground and as of now I have a 83mph  outfield velocity, but I am working on bringing that up. I have always led by example both on and off the field by bringing energy everywhere I go. I take pride in the fact that my coaches, whether it be basketball, soccer, or baseball, have always told me they wish they had more players with my passion and work ethic. I truly believe that no matter where I end up, I will be a huge asset to the team.
