I truly believe that hard work is the key to success in a lot of ways. I wake up each and every day to accomplish something new each and every day. Whether in school, sports, or working in the community, I work hard to accomplish what is needed to be done. My collegiate goal is to be able to receive a scholarship from a school that is willing to bring me into their program. I want to be able to go to a school that offers both a great academic program and to play the next level of baseball. Academics to me is as important if not more important than sports to me. Going into my Junior year of High School, I have a 3.85 GPA, and I have been nominated to be on the National Honors Society this coming school year. I strive for greatness in the classroom and I use my hard work ethic and time management to be able to be successful in school. Inside and outside of the classroom, I try to be a leader for everyone that I am around if they are older or younger than me. I try to help as much as I can for people in my community to help them be successful. I always try to be a role model for kids that look up to me in my community, because they want to become successful at whatever they do, so they look up to older high school kids including me to learn how to be good people and also to help them become better athletes. Being a leader and role model is very important to me because I did the same thing when I was younger, so now it is my turn to be a role model for the kids who look up to me as a player and person. Another important thing to me is being coachable. Coachability in my opinion is what separates me from a lot of my teammates that I play with. Being coachable and willing to listen/learn, is what I strive for. I want to be able to use my coaches to become a better baseball player and even more importantly become a better man for whatever I do with my life after high school. Positivity is also very important to me because it is what helps me get through my day and it can help people get through their bad days. I want to have a positive impact on everything, that I get myself into. I try to be the person who is able to pick people up if they are having a bad day or helping a teammate who is having a bad game, be able to have positive thoughts that are able to carry them through the day. My future outlook is being able to play at the next level for baseball for a school that gives me a great academic opportunity and also to have a chance to play for a college baseball team that accepts me into their program and try to make a postitive impact on the team to help the team be successful because in the end, the team is more important than individual players and their stats.
