Baseball has been a focal point in my life forever. Before I was old enough to play on a team, I would go to see my dad play baseball every weekend. I became interested in baseball because my dad and uncle both played baseball at the collegiate level and they still play to this day. I started first with t-ball, then little league and a travel team, and now I play in high school and continue to play travel ball. When I was little, I enjoyed things like the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Games. Now, I enjoy being part of a team and see my role as a quiet leader by action. My teammates and coaches would say that I have an intense desire to work hard on the field as I am constantly looking for opportunities to help my teams achieve victory. I have had a few notable coaches throughout my time playing baseball and the ones that I most appreciated knew how to have fun and teach at the same time, in addition to valuing the defensive and pitching aspects of the game. I would like to play for a coach who will continue to teach me more little aspects of the game and who will support me both on and off the field. I am looking to go to college for both academic and athletic reasons. I would like to be a part of a challenging baseball program, while pursuing a degree in Accounting because I enjoy numbers.
