Personal Statement

Hello College Coaches,

My name is Brian Parzych from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I am currently enrolled at Wauwatosa East high school and in the Class of 2021. I play Varsity Basketball, and Varsity Volleyball

My main goal is too be a successful student athlete. I'd like to find a college that challenges me everyday as a person, student, and player. Basketball can only take you so far, I'm looking for a college that will put me in the best position possible during basketball, and after basketball.

Outside of school and sports, I like to stay envolved with kids. I do volunteer work as a baseball umpire at a summer camp, and a counselor/helper at basketball camps. I believe the one thing that separates me from other recruits is my unselfishness. I’d rather have 0 points and 10 assists then 10 points and 0 assists. I love getting my teammates involved and see them score.  Anything that gets my team success is the most important thing.

Thank you,

Brian Parzych

A prospect to take notice of during the travel season, Parzych was outstanding during a Saturday morning win. The 6-foot-1 guard has terrific playmaking ability as a scorer and facilitator. Parzych broke down defenders with ease and carved up the opposition with a flurry of dribble drives and assists. The lefty reacts very quickly on the floor and always seemed to be one step ahead of the defense. Parzych can survey the floor and find open teammates without necessarily making eye contact, which left defenders helpless. He played with really good pace all morning, using a quick first step off the catch as the opposition had to constantly help and recover when Parzych was on the floor.

  • 12pm-4pm both days. The High School Basketball All-American Showcase Staff PLAYER EVALUATION: Brian Parzych Projection: Low D1 A lefthanded shooter who can break you down off the dribble or come off screens well for jump shot. A slasher mode type player who can create his own shot and finish to the basket. He shows nice ballhandling when attacking the basket or bringing it up court. Has some good no look passes that will catch you off guard if not looking. Needs to get stronger to handle bigger and competitive guards. As much as he finishes with his left hand, build up that right hand just as strong to finish with to the basket. Learn to shoot off both sides of the dribble with consistency. Develop quicker footwork and agility to impact his game even more. He has a lot of good potential and upside to his game.

  • By Jared Martinson FACEBOOK TWITTER Posted On: 09/21/17 3:41 PM The road trip down I-94 East to the suburbs of Madison, Wisconsin led me to the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo at the Sports Enhancement Academy. There were plenty of eye-catchers to take note of at every position and they’re all emptied out here. An Abundance of Floor Generals! The guard play was not disappointing. Multiple backcourt talents decided to head up their open run teams and orchestrate offenses. A handful of them also took over when they needed to, getting to the rim at will and finishing at a great rate. Confidence never wavered in these lead guards. -William Mahoney (G, 6-0, 2019, Appleton West) -Earl Lewis (G, 5-10, 2018, Madison East) -Darryl Brooks II (G, 6-0, 2019, Menomonee Falls) -Brayden Ivory (G, 6-0, 2019, Kaukauna) -Brian Parzych (G, 6-0, 2021, Wauwatosa East). Extended Evaluation: Strengths: Brian is a quick freshman guard who excelled in transition and getting to the rim. He elevated for impressive finishes and kicked out to open men when his shot wasn't there. The energy and IQ was there for Parzych all day
