I haven't been a cheerleader the longest, but I quickly fell in love with the sport. My senior year is my very first season in cheer but I had a small background in ballet that I think helps me a lot. Cheer in college is something I could have never dreamed of but I'm glad to have the opportunity to try my hand.
I like to think of myself as very resilient physically, and mentally. I'm very "Walk it off and you'll be okay." type person with myself, and i think that's very important as a cheerleader especially. Sometimes you get hit in the face and that's okay, it happens.
I'm very active in my community, wherever I live. I currently volunteer at the Apache Junction Library as a Teen Advisory board member, I am a coach at my local churches Jr High youth group, I'm on the varsity soccer team, and I'm currently looking into volunteering with one of my churches sports teams.
For college I'm not looking for the best of the best sports teams, although that would be pretty cool, I think a big part of loving the sport is just loving the competition and loving your team. No matter how many losses you take.
