Hello coaches! My name is Isabella (Bella) Santiago. I have done competitive cheer from 4th-6th grade. Additionally, I danced for 10 years but recently transitioned to cheerleading in order to pursue my cheer aspirations. This is my 2nd year doing high school cheer. I would describe myself as a very outgoing and a great team player. Why do I love cheerleading? Sports comes with ups and downs and at times games can become very tense. As cheerleaders, it is our job to uplift the fans and to create an energetic environment for our athletes to excel. We bring loud energy and lots of smiles to those around us when it is most needed. As my grandfather says, " If someone needs a smile give them yours." I have faced adversity such as, switching schools- I went from a small 1 classroom per grade to a large school of 400+ students in my grade. I made the decision to leave the large school setting to attend a smaller High School. The transitions were not easy, but I have learned to trust the process and believe in my self and till this day I am where I am because of my determination. I chose to attend a High School with a rigorous academic curriculum. In fact, it is the top academic High School in the state of Delaware. My decision to attend was based upon me wanting to well prepare myself for college. I have already grown so much as a student after attending Archmere Academy. I'm also a person of faith and I live by my morals. I've balanced my academics while playing 2 sports and being away from home nearly 12 hours a day. As my school is 45 minutes away from my home.
