Calaya Witherspoon
I feel like I'm a unique person because I have always been mature for my age and determined to get things done. Whatever I need to get done, I take pride in being the best at it. I'm distinguished from others my age because I think highly of myself and don’t allow others to diminish my importance. I'm also a very independent hard worker for a person my age. I've always liked to get things done myself without any one else's help and have been providing for myself since I’ve started my own business.
I'm considering studying business management in college because after college I plan on furthering my business by opening up my own shop offering services in the cosmetology field. I want to excel in organizing and managing a company’s resources while offering the best customer service to staff as well as customers. I also know that gaining a business degree will open up more opportunities, and increase my salary and lifetime income.
Colleges I'm considering are CCBC, Bowie, The University of Baltimore Lincoln University and Towson University because these are the best schools in my area offering Business management and Business administration. I'm specifically looking at CCBC even though it's not a university but it offers lower tuition costs. I'm also looking at Frostburg for their study abroad program.
Adjectives that would describe me as a person would be trustworthy, caring, classy, polite, responsible, mature, focused and optimistic.
An Instance that shows my work ethic would be my business that I have built up on my own servicing over 250+ appointments since 2019. Some of my business duties are styling clients for personal and professional endeavors, scheduling appointments and financial management of income and expenses. I market my business on social media sites like Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. I have created and continue to manage my own business website. The clientele that I provide services to have been consistent and growing.
