Hi my name is Victoria. I’ve been cheering since I was five years old and started on my local Pop Warner team. I advanced early and was able to make it onto the JV team at my high school in 7th grade and then made the varsity team in 9th grade. What makes me different from others is my dedication, passion and perseverance. I take this sport very seriously on and off the mat and I put a lot of extra hours outside of practice and the season to continuously improve and work on my skills. Some minor injuries have caused some set backs in the past for me but I was able to overcome those obstacles due to my tenacity and drive to move beyond it. I do this because I love the sport. I strive to be the best version of myself on and off the mat. In my spare time, I also am a junior demonstrator (assistant coach) for my local pop warner organization where I originally got my start in cheer. I believe it is important to give back and I do this by sharing my love of the sport and skills with the younger levels. I try to be the best leader I can for my Varsity team; striving to be the most successful athlete I can be as well as engaging and encouraging my team to be the best they can be as well. Academics can be a struggle for me in some aspects. I excel in some areas but struggle in others. I recognize that I may not have the best academics on paper but I am still proud of myself. Make no mistake, I work hard to improve every day, and I feel my perseverance helps me succeed and overcome those subjects that don't come as easily to me. My goals as a cheerleader is to lead by example and be as strong as I can to help my team whether that’s stronger tumbling or more skills with my stunt group. I consider myself very coachable and I encourage constructive criticism as this helps me grow and improve. I work well with all levels of ability and am always up for a challenge or the opportunity to make myself and my team a better, more successful and well-rounded team.
