Hello! My name is Emily Meck, I am 16 years old, and I am currently a junior at Elmira High School in New York Throughout my life, my education has always been my main focus. I have always strived to be the best in my class and get 100's on every assignment. My goal is to continue doing that through college. I would like to become a lawyer after college, which is a pretty challenging goal, but I am always up for a challenge! Throughout the past few years of high school sports, I have found out that athletics and academics fall hand in hand. My sports pushed me to work harder in school and my academics encouraged me to try my very best in sports. Within this time period I also found myself becoming increasingly competitive. I believe I am a good candidate for your team because I am a person who loves competing with my other teammates to better one another. You can't grow on a team without healthy competition. Also, I am a natural born leader. I will be the first person to offer help, even if I'm not fully sure what to do. I think sometimes people underestimate how much teammate to teammate communication can help a team. On a character level, I am very self aware and down to earth, which makes me very coachable and honest especially when it comes to working on my weaknesses. I have always believed that weaknesses make you better by giving you something to work for and I think that has proven to be a very successful way of thinking in all areas of my life. Thank you for taking time to look at me and hopefully we will talk soon!
