My name is Kaylie Murray and I am currently going into my senior year at Palmyra-Macedon High School. I’d love to cheer in college! Cheer is my biggest passion and I have so much love for the sport. I also have experience as a varsity tennis player and varsity lacrosse player. In my tennis careeer I have received Finger-Lakes East All League Honorable Mention!
I started gymnastics at only 18 months, I was a member of a competitive gymnastics team for 5 years with numerous high placements. I attended International Gymnastics Camp and received the kindness award (2x) and most dedicated gymnast award.
I started cheer as soon as my gymnastics career ended on modified in 7th grade. I was pulled up to JV in 8th grade and was selected for the most sprited award in the fall/football season and sportsmanship award in the winter/basketball season. In 9th grade I started my varsity career, due to Covid it was a shortened season but was still a great experience. In my 10th grade, winter cheer season I was voted by my teammates as Captain and received the Ideal Teammate Award! During my junior cheer season, my team and I won the Finger Lakes East League Championship, at the competition I was also named Finger Lakes 1st Team All League! We then went onto sectionals and placed 3rd.
I volunteer to coach the youth cheer squads in my community as well, I hope to inspire others to find a passion for cheer by giving back to the next group of young cheerleaders. I have helped led the Flag (K-2) team win their FLYFCL competition and also helped led the B-Team (5th-6th) place 3rd!
