My name is Kaylee Bisset, I am a sophomore in High School that plays Midfield/Forward. As a freshman I was a starter JV midfielder and helped lead my team to an undefeated season. I was invited to play for a club U16 than to travel to Festival, which was a truly exciting experience and helped me set high goals for the rest if my high school and club career. This year, as a sophomore I was a starting left and right midfielder and had two assisting goals. During my Varsity year I was part of leading my team to the semi-finals in the Division 1 bracket. Although we were defeated, we learned to bring up the intensity and not to give up. Out of interest, I started playing field hockey in 6th grade. During the year of 6th grade I had hit some struggling obstacles. I got cut from the team in 6th grade so they put me on a developmental team. As I continued to have challenging obstacles, my mother has pushed me to always do better and better and to challenge myself and to not do the bare minimal.
Throughout my years playing, I learned that I am able to take on some challenges such as learning advanced skills, perfecting them and playing against higher leveled players. I also learned that I do not give up, and to push myself against all odds in order for me to achieve my goals. My academic goals for school is to continue doing the best I can do, and to take some challenging classes that I know will assist my future. For college, I would like to obtain a degree in an area of interest, and to continue playing field hockey as well. When playing field hockey, a key skill of mine I do very well is hitting on the run and can hit off my right foot. As well as having good hand eye coordination; which helps me stopping many high balls in the air from the reverse side. Lastly, characteristics I have as a player are: I am encouraging not to only myself but to my teammates, I am a quick learner that is not afraid of trying new things, and having professional sportsmanship.
