I have been playing field hockey since the 6th grade and my love for it has grown. Every time I step on the field, I feel so grateful to be able to play a sport that I'm passionate about. I'm always trying to get better and want to receive more feedback from my coaches in order to improve upon my skills. Some say I'm "so coachable", but I see it as part of being an athlete and respecting your coach. I want to be part of something that is often described as family.
It would be my dream to play in college, but know that this is just one element of my college experience. Over the years, I've found balance between academics and my athletics/extracurricular activities. I believe that being involved and being a leader is essential and have demonstrated this by being a member of numerous clubs such as: Interact, South Windsor for the Kids, Bobcat Pride Organization, and the Community Ambassador Transition Squad. I'm proud of my accomplishments not only on the field but in the classroom as well. I've received many recognitions for my academics, such as being accepted into National Honor Society, high honors, and All-Academic in both field hockey and lacrosse.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and possibly considering me for your program.
