Lesleigh Hilliard '21 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to involved in activities and experiences that are meaningful to me and the world.  I am currently a junior in HS who loves to read, write , sing and play field hockey!  My favorite position is defense.  I am quite fast and many people want me to be a forward which I can absolutely accomplish.  But I want to be the individual who can see the field and help others.  My entire life my purpose has been to make plays the enabler others.  That is what a defender does .  Even my chosen fields of study anthropology and political science are indicative of my desire to help others. Studying the field (the people on it) and understanding the power relationship on the field is critical.  Ultimately I love to play the sport because it is representative of life and I enjoy being a defender because I want to be fierce on and off the field as defenders must.
