Field hockey has always been a passion for me, I grew up watching my sister and she inspired me to play the sport. I always knew that I wanted to play beyond high school, I want to use all my skills that I have developed over the years to perform at the collegiate level.

On the field I am a strong player who can compete anywhere on the field, except maybe as goalie. I have earned the honor as being a captain my junior year. I have focused on my own skills, but I have also helped my teammates improve their skills so we can succeed as a team.

I do know I am interested in a science-based field, but I am unsure which avenue I am leaning towards at this time. I spend a considerable amount of time assisting with swimming lessons and a field hockey youth camp.

Sports have helped me to focus my attention to maintain a balance between field play and academics. I have learned that both are an important part in life.
