Throughout my life I've had many moments that have influenced me to be the person I am today. My family and friends have influenced me greatly but I absolutely know that field hockey is a huge part of who I am. I truly realized my passion for field hockey when the seasons were over and I didn't have trainings or games. It quickly got to the point where field hockey became a part of me and I couldn't imagine myself not playing. I love every moment that I am on the field with my stick in hand. Field hockey has taught me not only to be a good player but a good person too. I have learned that you have to take everything as a lesson because the bad moments can only make the good ones better. Having this passion and desire to constantly grow has taught me to set high expectations and goals for myself because I can only get better if I know where I want to be. I have a desire to constantly improve, not only as an athlete but to also improve as a person. Field hockey has taught me to set goals and believe in myself even when some have doubted me. A goal of mine is to go to college and excel in academics and athletics, and to be the best possible athlete and person I can be. Overall, I have had to face many challenges in the sport and outside of field hockey but every challenge and success has only made me a stronger, better person and athlete. I believe that as I continue to play and excel in the sport I love, I will achieve my goals of going to a college and contribute both to the college academically and athletically.
